Officially, just a bird.

The response manual did not say to argue that pigeons were credible. It said to argue that the question was incredible. A strange movement? Wildlife. A mechanical allegation? Harmless research equipment. A contract number? Please contact the relevant department. The program could tolerate a popular joke about robot birds. It had more trouble with a precise question about a chassis field. But a denial is not evidence by itself. WREN kept the answer that claimed every billed unit had completed physical service. Beside it, the ledger kept an empty chassis entry. Those two records were the problem. Not somebody's tone. Not a laugh. A certification that could not survive being placed next to a count.
